About Us
Jeev Daya is an Animal Welfare Organization dedicated to the service of Animals. It is a Non Profit Trust which has been recently formed to work for the welfare and care of animals especially stray animals.
The aim of Jeev Daya is to make the world a better place for animals by promoting kindness and compassion to animals particularly the homeless animals who struggle to survive on the streets be they dogs, cats, cows, donkeys etc.
We conduct the feeding of stray dogs on a daily basis and also organize their sterilizations and vaccinations. This helps to control the dog population and minizes the suffering of the animals and reduces the man-animal conflict. Vaccinating against rabies protects both the animals and the humans
.
As per the Animal Birth Control (ABC) Act of the Government of India the only humane way of controlling the dog population is to get them sterilized. For the sterilizations we take the help of veterinary hospitals where they are operated upon and kept for post operative care and released when healed and recovered.
We provide medical aid to injured stray animals and if they can be treated on spot get them treated on the spot itself with the help of local vets and their assistants or help to get them treated by sending them to a veterinary hospital or shelter.

We also try to help old cows and donkeys that have been abandoned on the road by getting them admitted to gaushalas or donkey shelters. We would like to provide financial aid to such gaushalas, donkey shelters and animal shelters and hospitals for the maintenance and medical treatment of these helpless animals.
It is our aim to see that animals in our country are safe from exploitation, protected from cruelty and free from hunger and sickness.
We also aim to take legal action against those exploiting animals and those subjecting them to cruelty.
Mahatma Gandhi had said “The moral progress of a nation can be judged by the way its animals are treated.“
We would like to spread awareness among children in schools, colleges, educational institutions and adults in services including the police force to make them aware of laws that protect animals in our country as well as to sensitize them to the needs of animals and to encourage kindness and compassion for the voiceless.
We would also like to start a Gaushala and an animal shelter for old, abandoned and homeless animals at some point of time in the near future.
